Another great feature for the hunter is this unit's quick start up time of only 2 seconds from push of the button to full operational capacity! The XQ23V Quantum Lite 4x Digital Zoom (1.8x standard optical zoom to 4x variable digital zoom) features a thermal core resolution of 384x288 at 1.8x along with a 23mm IR detection lens allows it to capture maximum thermal energy. The engineers at Pulsar have delivered this incredible professional product that can display the usual monochrome "white hot" and "black hot" heat signature observations as well as your choice of 7 possible color palettes. This allows the user to select their own color for highlighting the hottest and coldest heat signatures. The high 50 hertz refresh rate combined with the 640x480 AMOLED display resolution provides a crisp and consistent image of objects at significant distances (875 yards) even when they are moving rapidly! The 4x digital zoom allows the user to more clearly identify the object of interest at significant distances as well. The Pulsar XQ23V Quantum Lite Thermal Monocular includes 3 operating modes (Metropolitan, Forested, and simple ID) that offer enhanced contrast, therefore improving the object imaging details. Users can choose from the automatic, manual or semi-automatic calibration modes, which calibrate the lens in a split second. The Pulsar XQ23V Quantum Lite 4x Thermal Imaging Digital Monocular is equipped with a durable glass-nylon composite housing and a weight of only 12.35 ounces (not including batteries). This makes the unit extremely lightweight and weather resistant and capable of withstanding the harsh environments of the outdoors. The Pulsar XQ23V Quantum Lite 4x Thermal Imaging Digital Monocular is outfitted with a standard weaver rail and tripod mount, allowing for multiple attachment options.     • objective lens image, monochrome (usual “hot white”, “hot black”) and
    • color highlighting the hottest and coldest areas with different colors.
    • Due to the high image frequency (50 Hz) it is comfortable to use thermal
    • camera dynamically (during rapid moving of observer or object of
    • observation).
    • The Pulsar XQ23V
    • Quantum Lite features short start-up time (2 seconds) from
    • the push of a button to full operational status. This is one of the best
    • results in its class.

    • Quantum imaging scopes are effective for use in low temperatures
    • (-25°C, -13°F) thanks to the frost-resistant AMOLED display employed in the unit
    • (image remains the same as when viewing at positive environment
    • temperature).
    • When it is necessary to temporarily stop observation the user can apply
    • DISPLAY OFF function. It provides the necessary level of camouflage (no
    • light from the eyepiece of the device) between observation sessions as
    • well as the fast restart of observation (when display is turned off, all
    • other systems are working; for normal operation it is enough just to
    • power on the display again).
    • The Quantum suggests three calibration modes: silent manual mode (“M”),
    • automatic (“A”) and semiautomatic (“H”). The “A” mode implies
    • calibration without user participation (process initiation (actuation of
    • the shutter) takes place automatically). In the “H” mode the user
    • decides on his own if calibration is required based on the image
    • quality. Button “Cal” is pressed in this mode. Manual calibration (“M”)
    • is carried out by pressing the button when the lens cap is closed.
    • The Quantum is powered with four AA size (regular or rechargeable) batteries. The
    • batteries are stored in a container which is then placed in a battery
    • compartment of the unit.
    • Operation time of the unit can be significantly increased thanks to the
    • use of external power supplies (for example, Pulsar EPS3i/EPS5) that can
    • be connected with a special jack. When used in frosty weather, the power
    • supply can be stored under the clothes.
    • The body of fiberglass reinforced plastic is able to effectively
    • withstand impact, moisture and dust which allows the units to be used in
    • extreme conditions. The rubber armoring ensures secure grip of the
    • unit.
    • Disabling the video output module in the Quantum thermal scopes
    • increases self-contained operating time on a set of batteries or
    • external power supply.
    • The control wheel located next to the lens allows the user to setup
    • brightness and contrast most appropriate for specific situation.
    • All Quantum models are equipped with an analog video output to enable
    • connection of external recording equipment or transmitting image to the
    • display.
    • Quantum has a stadiametric rangefinder performed in the shape of
    • a range finding reticle which enables distance measuring to observed
    • objects with known height (deer - 5.6 ft; pigs – 2.3 ft., coyotes - 1.5 ft.; rabbit – 0.5 ft.) with sufficient precision.
    • The Quantum suggests three operating modes, each designed to deliver
    • best possible image in specific viewing conditions. The modes are as
    • follows: “City” (enhanced contrast), “Forest” (low contrast) and
    • “Identification” (improved rendering of hot objects’ details).
    • Main
    • control functions (turning on and off the unit, sensor calibration,
    • color inversion/digital zoom) are carried out with the buttons on the
    • upper panel. The size and location of the buttons are customized for
    • comfortable use both with a gloved or bare hand. Brightness and contrast
    • are set up with the controller wheel located next to the objective
    • lens.
    • Actual information about the status of the thermal imaging device,
    • depicted in the form of blue icons and numbers, is located on the data
    • panel in the lower portion of the screen, and does not interfere with
    • the image observed. When switching between various functions (digital
    • zoom, color inversion, brightness/contrast settings), the respective
    • large sized icon appears in the right upper portion of the screen.
